Today, we're diving deep into the world of Pentacles, one of the four suits in the Minor Arcana of tarot. So, grab your deck, sit back, and join us on this journey of exploration! Pentacles, sometimes known as Coins or Discs, are one of the most tangible and down-to-earth suits in the tarot deck. When the Pentacles appear in a reading, they often bring messages tied to the material world—think of material possessions, financial security, and all things you can touch and feel. Pentacles Represents: The Material World In tarot, the suit of Pentacles symbolizes all things material. This can cover a wide range of aspects, including your job, business opportunities, financial situation, material possessions, and even your physical health. The suit of Pentacles is firmly rooted in the material world, and its presence in a reading can signal a call to be more aware of your tangible surroundings. Breaking Down the Pentacles Tarot Card Ace of Pentacles Tarot Card Meaning The Ace of Pentacles, for example, often symbolizes a new financial or business opportunity. In an upright position, it could indicate the beginning of prosperity and wealth, signaling a time of financial growth and success. Reversed Ace of Pentacles: In a reversed position, however, it might suggest a missed opportunity or potential financial loss, urging you to be cautious. Two of Pentacles Tarot Card Meaning The Two of Pentacles card adds a dynamic element to the suit, often representing balance, adaptability, and time management in the context of your material world. When drawn in an upright position, it suggests that you might be juggling multiple responsibilities or commitments – perhaps balancing work and home life, or managing multiple projects. I know in todays world most of us do this already, but the two of pentacles might be calling on you to pay a little more attention to this. It's a call to remain flexible and adaptable, signaling that with careful management, it's possible to maintain harmony even amidst change. Reversed Two of Pentacles: In a reversed position, the Two of Pentacles could indicate that you're overwhelmed by the demands of these competing priorities, suggesting a need to delegate, prioritize, or seek help. This card prompts us to reassess our commitments and manage our resources efficiently. Three of Pentacles Tarot Card Meaning The Three of Pentacles is a card of collaboration, teamwork, and skilled craftsmanship, often representing the fruition of early stage projects through combined efforts. In an upright position, this card signals that your skills and talents are being recognized and appreciated, possibly in a work setting. It's a strong indicator that the teamwork and dedication you've invested are leading to success, embodying the idea that 'together we can achieve more.' Three of Pentacles Reversed: The reversed position of the Three of Pentacles, however, might suggest difficulties in teamwork, lack of coordination, or unacknowledged contributions. It's a prompt to evaluate your collaborations and ensure that everyone involved is on the same page, working towards a common goal. Four of Pentacles Tarot Card Meaning The Four of Pentacles is deeply tied to security and control, particularly in the realm of material possessions and financial stability. When this card appears in an upright position, it signifies a time of financial security and stability, often indicating saving or accumulating wealth. However, it also poses a cautionary message about becoming too possessive or materialistic, encouraging you to loosen your grip and be generous. Four of Pentacles Reversed: In its reversed position, the Four of Pentacles may suggest that you're holding on too tightly to your possessions or your current state, hindering your growth and opportunities. It could also indicate financial instability or a loss of control over your financial circumstances. This card prompts a reflection on your relationship with material wealth and a reassessment of your approach to financial security. Five of Pentacles Tarot Card Meaning The Five of Pentacles is one of the more challenging cards in the suit of Pentacles, typically representing hardship and struggle, particularly in the material world. When this card appears in an upright position, it signifies financial adversity or health problems, indicating a time of feeling left out in the cold, metaphorically speaking. It might represent a period of unemployment, unexpected expenses, or an illness. Despite the bleak circumstances, the Five of Pentacles often carries a hopeful message, encouraging you to seek help and reminding you that this hardship is temporary. Five of Pentacles Reversed: When drawn in a reversed position, it suggests an end to tough times, a recovery from financial loss, or improved health. It's a card of hope, reminding us that with resilience and persistence, we can overcome any adversity. Six of Pentacles Tarot Card Meaning Representing generosity, charity, and giving, the Six of Pentacles is a hopeful card that brims with a spirit of benevolence. When drawn in an upright position, it indicates a phase of financial balance and prosperity. This card may signify a time when you're in a position to offer assistance to others, or perhaps you are the recipient of generosity from someone else. It’s an acknowledgment of the cycle of give-and-take, emphasizing the importance of sharing wealth and knowledge. Six of Pentacles Reversed: When the Six of Pentacles appears in a reversed position, it could indicate one-sided charity or an imbalance in giving and receiving. It may denote a feeling of being taken advantage of or perhaps a need to reassess boundaries in giving to others. The Six of Pentacles prompts reflection on the flow of energy, resources, and kindness in your life. Seven of Pentacles Tarot Card Meaning The Seven of Pentacles tarot card embodies the spirit of patience, effort, and hard work. When drawn in an upright position, this card represents a time of reflection, evaluation, and anticipation of the fruits of your labor. It's a reminder that success often requires patience and consistent effort. This card may appear during a time when you are waiting for the results of a business opportunity, a project, or an investment. It's about understanding that good things take time, and that the wait often contributes to the value of the eventual reward! Which might mean patience, which we don't always have ;) All good things to those who wait. Seven of Pentacles Reversed: However, when the Seven of Pentacles appears in a reversed position, it may signify frustration, impatience, or feeling that your hard work isn't paying off. It's a reminder to reassess your efforts, adjust your plans if necessary, and stay resilient. The Seven of Pentacles encourages us to keep faith in our work and the process of growth. PENTACLES TAROT FAQ How can the Pentacles Tarot be interpreted in terms of financial security? The Pentacles Tarot, as part of the Minor Arcana, are primarily associated with the material world, financial matters, and physical manifestations. Their presence in a reading often signals topics related to financial stability, wealth accumulation, property ownership, and overall economic health. If Pentacles cards appear in upright positions, they generally hint at financial prosperity, secure income streams, successful investments, or promising business opportunities. For instance, the Ace of Pentacles could indicate a new financial venture or business opportunity on the horizon. However, when Pentacles cards appear in reversed positions, they might suggest financial setbacks, poor money management, missed business opportunities, or an unhealthy obsession with material possessions. Despite the potential warnings, the Pentacles suit as a whole encourages thoughtful and balanced financial planning, advising that with careful management and a balanced approach, material success and financial security are within reach. What can pulling the Pentacles Tarot card in a reading suggest about upcoming business opportunities? Pulling a Pentacles Tarot card in a reading could potentially signify prosperous business opportunities. For example, if the Ace of Pentacles appears in an upright position, it may symbolize the seed of a new venture or investment that could yield profitable returns. The Ten of Pentacles might hint at a successful family business or a stable financial future, while the Page of Pentacles could suggest exciting news or fresh ideas related to your career or business. However, the interpretation also depends on the surrounding cards and the card's position. A reversed Pentacles card might suggest a need for careful decision making to avoid financial pitfalls or missed opportunities. Regardless, the Pentacles suite broadly speaks to perseverance, resourcefulness, and the potential for financial growth in business. Can the Pentacles Tarot predict material success? Yes, the Tarot Pentacles can often predict material success in a reading. This Minor Arcana suit is closely linked to the material world, including business ventures, property investments, and financial security. The specific card and its position (upright or reversed) can help determine the extent of this success. For example, the Ace of Pentacles in an upright position might suggest a lucrative new business opportunity, while the Ten of Pentacles might signify long-term financial stability and wealth. However, a Pentacles card in a reversed position might serve as a warning against financial missteps or potential losses. As always, the context of the reading and the surrounding cards play a significant role in the interpretation. Which Pentacles Tarot cards are considered the luckiest? Usually, when it comes to the luckiest cards in the Pentacles suit, the Ace and Ten of Pentacles often stand out. The Ace of Pentacles generally represents new beginnings, opportunities, and potential growth in the material world. It often indicates a new business opportunity or investment that could yield significant returns. On the other hand, the Ten of Pentacles is often associated with established wealth, financial stability, and family prosperity. It might hint at a successful long-term investment, a thriving family business, or inheritance. However, remember that the interpretation of these cards can vary based on the surrounding cards and the context of the reading. So, while these cards typically bring good fortune, their specific meanings might differ in each reading. Is it bad luck if a Pentacles Tarot card appears reversed? It's not necessarily "bad luck" if a Pentacles Tarot card appears in a reversed position. Tarot cards, including the Pentacles, are tools for guidance rather than fortune-telling devices. A reversed Pentacles card may indicate a delay or obstacle in your path to financial success, or it could warn of potential material losses or poor financial decisions. However, these cards also offer an opportunity for reflection and redirection. It’s important to remember that you have the power to change the course of your life based on the insights you gain from your tarot readings. So, a reversed Pentacles card isn't "bad luck" – it's a chance to reassess your decisions and take action towards improving your financial situation Pentacles In A Reading: What To Look For When a Pentacles card pops up in your reading, take a moment to consider its position and orientation. Is it in an upright or reversed position? What other cards surround it? The meaning and relevance of the Pentacles card can change based on these factors. Remember, tarot is an incredibly personal journey. While we can provide pointers and guidance, the ultimate interpretation lies with you. So, next time a Pentacles card shows up in your reading, embrace its grounding energy and take a moment to appreciate the material world around you. Happy reading, tarot lovers!

  • Blue Moon Spell for Release and Surrender

Blue Moon Spell for Release and Surrender Welcome back to the Season of Anya where we discuss Witchcraft for Beginners from a Spiritual Yoga Witch. This final part of the 31 Days of Witchcraft challenge with our Blue Moon Spell for Release and Surrender. Let's take a few deep, mindful breaths and take a moment to reflect on what has happened this month and being abundant with gratitude no matter the current circumstances of life. If you've been following the challenge since day 1, welcome back: You've had a very busy witchy calendar month, and I'm proud of you for your dedication to your spiritual journey and further your practice of witchcraft. In this past month you've made moon water, done some serious shadow work, made room to release your tensions and your traumas, and have begun the magick of manifestation...not to mention connecting with your altar every day. Many times in my own spiritual practice I can't even say I've been that consistent with my witchcraft practice. Take a look at the last two blog posts about this 31 Days of Witchcraft Challenge, and remind yourself why you did this, and what you wanted to gain from taking on this challenge. Now is a great time to grab your journal, and reflect on all the growth you've had during this last month. This journey has allowed me to dive very much deep into myself so I can manifest and channel spirit much more clearly. Making Room for Abundance with Witchcraft Ultimately, it's not what you were able to physically manifest, but it's it's about the room you created from the deep shadow work release and the intentions that were set. We all know that the universe works in mysterious ways, but when casting spells, witches must know that once the intention is set, the magick will unfold. I know, we just want to snap our fingers and get everything all at once, but that's not how real magick works my friends. Sometimes we get more instant gratification, and sometimes we sit in the void not knowing if anyone is even listening to our prayers. Remember, manifesting is not just about desire, but it's about taking tangible, actionable steps, every day with that daily grind to build a better tomorrow for ourselves. It's about putting in the work, it's about having a grounded sense of what we intend to manifest, what we intend to do with our manifestations once we receive them, and, how are we going to share our blessings with the community. Yes, sharing always has to be apart of the equation. I want to take a moment and remind you all that this blog isn't like some of the things you may have seen on Witchtok or other areas of the internet. A real witch's magick works, but it takes time. Trust me, I'm the last person who wants to say it but it's the truth. Just this year alone I have thought some major goals and desires of my life were coming to fruition but either something got in the way, or I had to trust my intuition and actually pass on an opportunity that wasn't right for me, despite seeming like it was everything I want. The best words I've heard is that we are working on divinity's timeline and not our own. These also feel like the worst words sometimes because it reminds us to utilize **patiece**. Ew, I know. But when you think abut it kind of like baking a cakes, we've gathered all the ingredients, and now it just needs to come out of the oven so we can decorate it and enjoy it. Sometimes there are a lot of factors that need to come into play to make our desires come true. Time is irrelevant. We've learned a lot this month, stay connected to divinity and your dreams will come true. Promise. Now, onto the spell Blue Moon Spell for Release and Surrender Incense or tools for grounding Candle of Choice Toothpick, knife, of sharpie (for either etching or writing the intention on your candle. Journal and pen To begin, we are going to call upon our higher selves. I open up my heart and soul to the wisdom and guidance of my higher self. For my journey is merely beginning. My faith in Divinity is strong, as well as my connection to my intuition. I open all my energy to receive divine guidance. Take a few mindful breaths, settle into this energy, and meditate on a thought that resonates with what you'd like to manifest. When you are ready, grab your candle of choice. If it's a chime candle, take a knife and carefully etch (or write) your word or intention into the candle, slowly, and mindfully. There is no rush. As you begin to carve out your meditation, begin to chant repeatedly: I attract what I desire with the spirit of this fire. When you have finished carving out your word of intention, light the candle a blaze as you finish your chant. Take some time to soak in these energies. When the time is right, repeat as many times as desire: I surrender to what it. I let go of what was. I forever have faith in what will be. Grab your journal, and begin your shadow work. Time to Reflect: 6 Witchy Shadow Work Prompts --What traumas did I heal from this month? --In what way did I make room to receive blessings? --What areas do I still need to improve on for my manifestations to complete? --What do I still desire? What steps will I take to move forward. --The main message I received was..... --I am thankful for spirit because.... As you shift your focus on your shadow work, be sure to soak in these beautiful energies you've created with your candle magick. When you've completed the prompts, seal the energy by thanking Spirit and your guide for all the lessons you've been taught this month. I thank the divine guidance of spirit for healing my emotional wounds, and giving me the strength to manifest my wildest desires. Blessed be. Allow the candle to continue to burn out, or snuff the candle, but do not blow it out. Be sure to continue to light the candle through completion for your manifestation to come true. Blue Moon Spell Final Thoughts Thank you so much for journeying with me for this month of magick. We have set our intentions out there, we have made the commitment to the journey, and now we must wait for everything around us to fall into place. Keep taking steps towards your manifestations and keep staying connected with your magick! Remember, you can revisit these spells at any time, whether you decide to repeat the entire challenge, or piecemeal each of the three workings as you see fit. These spells are yours to keep and hang on to. Keep wishing, keep dreaming bigger, and keep staying magickal my friends. Catch you on YouTube for updates, and thank you for Subscribing to the Season of Anya.

  • How to Unblock the Heart Chakra as a Yoga Witch

How to Unblock the Heart Chakra as a Yoga Witch Welcome back to the Season of Anya! Today we are going to discuss How to Unblock the Heart Chakra as a Yoga Witch Woohoo! We are building some momentum with our Chakra Series for Witches! We are officially half way through this series now, which means we are officially into the upper chakra system, the more feminine chakras, the 5D chakras, if you will. The heart chakra, anahata, is represented by the color green, some witches and spiritual yogis will also refer to it with the color pink, for quite obvious reasons. Do what feels right to you. I tend to be a rule follower (womp womp), so since the yogi gods said it's represented by the color green, I'm going to stick to it for official purposes. As always fam, do what feels right to you. How do I know if my heart chakra is blocked? This probably goes without saying, but a heart chakra blockage can be attributed to all sorts of things, often times stemming from childhood. Maybe your needs weren't quite met as a child, and you had an emotionally unavailable parent? Perhaps you struggle with depression, which has left you with a sense of unworthiness. Maybe you give too much of yourself to others, and you aren't filling your heart back up with love, so you're feeling depleted because you aren't tending to your own needs. Perhaps you have to work on setting boundaries and have allowed others to take advantage of you. Keeping in mind that with the chakras, the wheels are both a polar energy, meaning that it's that give and take, a push and pull. You may feel just fantastic and have all that love saved yourself, but what are you doing to spread that love towards others? Do you constantly take from others without holding space for them or giving back? Are you always the one receiving compliments but never the one to give them out? Does love appear as weakness to you so you are afraid to display an act of love or affection to a friend or a romantic partner out of fear? These ideas and concepts can help you explore how to better understand the essence of the heart chakra and what it means to have a heart chakra blockage. How to Unblock the Heart Chakra Below are some tools and resources so you can unblock the heart chakra, use what resonates with you so you can find your natural way of allowing the flow of this beautiful energy to release through you. Connect with the Color Green or Pink Connecting with any color of the chakra system provides a great visual representation and reminder of the energy that we're working with. For example, something about eating green beans a Brussels sprouts doesn't quite resonate with me in terms of connecting with the heart chakra energy, but maybe if you're connecting to something like a matcha latte, or green tea, okay, that works a little better. And while pink isn't the official color of the heart chakra, it truly does serve as a more natural connection to the energy of divine love. With that, maybe while you're connecting to the heart chakra you want to incorporate a little more pink into your wardrobe, vibe with some rose quartz and buy yourself some fresh roses or flowers. Whatever gets you feeling soft and in love (with love) will do the trick. Personal Note: For me, as I'm currently working through this chakra, I've been enjoying watching little romantic stories and day dreams as I'm trying to attract more love into my life and just connect with the entire message of love. 5 Affirmations for the Heart Chakra Below are some affirmations for the heart chakra to keep you connected to the divine spirit of love. Repeat these affirmations throughout the day, 1) I vibrate at the highest frequency of love. 2) I shower myself with unconditional love. (You can do this even when you shower or even pour some moon water over your head while bathing) 3) I radiate and attract joy with a loving heart. 4) I love myself so that I can love others, and others can love me. 5) I am a divine being of love and light. Self Care and Self Love Rituals for the Heart Chakra To unblock the heart chakra, I would highly recommend doing some serious self care and self love. For example, you could do something as simple as light a few candles or some incense and take a bath with a few drops of rose and jasmine essential oil to get you into a softer more open state. You could charge some rose quartz under a full moon and drop it into your bath as well (rose quartz IS safe to be immersed in water for a short amount of time). Very mindfully wash yourself and feel yourself pouring love into your body. When you're out of the bath lotion your body up very lovingly and slowly while allowing yourself to feel the love you are putting into your body. We are so quick to pour love onto others but forget to fill our own cups with loving abundance. Either following this bath, or at a different time would present for a great opportunity to connect with your altar and do a self love spell perhaps, or even just some journaling while you emphasize your strengths and the things you love about yourself. Again, I'm feeling really drawn to full moon energy with this particular chakra (but that's my bias), so you can do this on a full moon and make some moon water while you do this, and then drink it throughout the week or even pour some of that moon water into your self care bath. Another great self care ritual for unblocking the hear chakra would be writing yourself a love letter. Pour some love into yourself, and even seal this letter with a kiss. Feel the love you are giving yourself as you pour that energy into this letter. If you desire, burn this letter on a full moon to seal your intention and send off all that juicy love into the universe. Or, if you wish, hang on to it, and give it a gander at a later time. Better yet, share the love and mail a love note to a friend or family to brighten their day. 5 Shadow Work Prompts for the Heart Chakra: As much as I love the light and nourishing aspect of connecting with the heart chakra, let's keep it real and understand that honoring and understanding our shadows is also a quite necessary part of the healing journey. Below are a few shadow work prompts to get you started. 1) What barriers have I built around myself from receiving love? What caused me to create these barriers? 2) What prevents me from getting into close relationships with others? How do I self sabotage these relationships from happening? (This can be romantic or not) 3) In what ways am I ignoring or dismiss my needs from loving myself or others? Why am I ignoring these needs? 4) What is my first memory of being deprived of love? Has this experience convinced me that I'm not deserving of love? 5) How can I cultivate more self compassion and self love into my life? 6 Yoga Poses for Opening the Heart Chakra A good yoga witch should be trying to incorporate at least a little yoga into their daily practice, right? Some great yoga poses for unblocking the heart chakra are --Cat cow pose --Corpse pose, savasana --Sphinx --Upward facing dog --Sun salutations --Salabhasana, Locust pose Heart Chakra Meditation for the Spiritual Yoga Witch: Lay down in a very comfortable position, with your shoulders nuzzled under your chest, supporting your heart with your palms open and facing upward with leg and feet sprawled out comfortably. Get into a meditative headspace and start to envision your self, floating on the bed of a soft pink cloud. The sky around you is during sunrise, with beautiful notes of warm yellow, orange, and pinks engulfing you with gentle warm rays. You can feel the sun gently warming your body to a comfortably warm temperature. As you lay on this cushion of clouds, surrounded by soft and divine energy, you feel this beam of or a sparkling, champagne pink illuminating all from your heart. This beam begins to gently grow, and expands all the way into the cosmos, the universe, connecting you to this nourishing, cosmic energy that is pouring into you and filling your heart so full. Take as much time to float into the astral realm as needed as you feel your body receiving so much love and abundance, that child-like love of life, and happiness. When it feels right, you start to see your slowly descend back from the clouds, and you make your descent back into where you are currently laying, into your physical body. As you begin to ground back down, slowly wiggle your toes, and your fingers and then start to make gentle movements with your body as you awaken from this beautiful meditation. Journal any thoughts or visions that came to you during this meditation. • Easy Tarot Tips: Suit of Cups

Easy Tarot Tips: Suit of Cups Welcome back to my easy tarot tips series! If you're new here, tarot is a beautiful and magickal form of divination. I know that I've excited to go on this journey with you all we we dive deeper into the different tarot suits. With that said, We are on our third suit of this series: We have done the tarot pentacles, as well as the tarot wands. Be sure to check those posts out for an easy reference guide. With that said, in this blog post, we'll tell you all about the Tarot suit Cups , what it signifies, and how to interpret the cards related to it. For those who are new to the Tarot world, don't worry – I'm here to introduce you to the beautiful and creative flow of the realm of Cups. In Tarot, Cups represent emotions, relationships, and intuition.... think that light feminine energy with that beautiful full moon and sacral chakra vibe. In many ways, the concept of the tarot cups reflects the feminine energy of life - the flowing, intuitive, and empathetic qualities of the divine feminine. When reversed in a reading, it could mean that someone is having difficulty expressing their emotions or that they are not feeling connected to their spiritual side. The Tarot suit of Cups can also represent the connection between human relationships - whether romantic or platonic. When reversed in a reading, it could indicate that someone is struggling to find balance in their relationships or that they may be lacking emotional support. It could also mean that someone is having difficulty communicating their feelings and needs to the people close to them. it can be a sign that we are blocking ourselves from connecting with our intuition or feeling overwhelmed by our emotional landscape. It may be time to take some time for yourself and reconnect with your own feelings so you can gain clarity on where this journey Reversed cups can offer us insight into our emotions, intuition and relationships - encouraging us to explore further within ourselves and take a step back from any situations or relationships that are stagnant or no longer serving us. For my astrology witches, the suit of Cups represent water signs like Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces so if you're trying to pinpoint a situation related to a specific person, you may want to consider the zodiac of a person. These signs are often associated with deep emotionality, psychic intuition, and the ability to connect with the spiritual and astral realms. When reversed in a reading, it can indicate that someone is feeling overwhelmed by their emotions or out of touch with their own intuition. • How to Unblock Solar Plexus Chakra for Yoga Witches

How to Unblock Solar Plexus Chakra for Yoga Witches Here we flow! Today we are going to learn how to unblock with the solar plexus chakra. Good news (at least for me), it's the last chakra of the lower chakra system, the ones I seem to be especially struggling with. What does that actually mean? It's essentially our more grounded, earthly chakras. The lower chakras: the root chakra, sacral chakra, and the solar plexus chakra are somewhat considered "masculine chakras", interestingly enough. The heart, throat, and crown chakra are considered more feminine. All that means is that in the balance of polarity in Spiritual Yoga & Witchcraft, with anything in life, there is always an opposite force that balances the other out. How do I know if my solar plexus is blocked? If you struggle with confidence, personal power, being too introverted, and perhaps painfully humble (just to name a few things), you may be suffering with some blockages in the solar plexus chakra. If you are struggling with this, good news, you are not alone, and there are some tangible steps to move through these blockages. Another way to energetically tell if you have a solar plexus blockage is through meditation: Close your eyes, and scan your body. Starting with the area just above the the top of your head, your crown chakra, feel the energy slowly going down your body, being aware if that energy is passing through your head, past your third eye chakra, past your heart, all the way down to the area below your ribcage, your solar plexus chakra. If you can't feel the energy move past this area, through your sacral chakra and root chakra, chances are you have a some sort of blockage with your solar plexus chakra. PS-This just inspired me to do a full body scan meditation on my YouTube channel, thoughts? Let me know! Affirmations We already know this yoga witch loves her affirmations, but it's really time to direct some of that energy to you and beginning to hone in your personal power. We can't raise energy as witches and lead or partake in badass rituals and meditations if we don't learn how to define how truly awesome we are. Trust me, even though I'm literally creating a social media and YouTube platform, I still struggle to use my authentic voice on this channel for fear of what other people think. I promise you, it doesn't matter what others think, there will always be someone that doesn't like you within moments of meeting you, but there are even more people who love and adore you, but none of that matters if you can't see it for yourself. We're going to have fun with this one. Just go-ahead and look in the mirror and start with smiling at yourself. When was the last time you looked at yourself? Now give yourself a smile, or stick out your tongue and be goofy about it! It might sound stupid, but breaking through that ego of looking dumb is essential to healing this chakra. End rant, onto the affirmation. Now that we got the prep, the rest is actually quite easy. Look in the mirror and recite some of these affirmations, at least 3 times, for at least a week. It's simple but often the tangible steps are the ones that we ignore. Perhaps it's fear of success or a more positive outcome? Idk. You tell me. Affirmations: --I'm a badass (bad bitch works too fam, don't you worry) --I don't care what other people think of me --I have so much to offer --I know my name (think of it as in, I know who I am and what I'm about --I am exuding with confidence --I attract Final thought on Solar Plexus Chakra Affirmations: Say it like you MEAN it. Another repeated action of this blog, but this is how these actionable, actual steps work. Connect with yourself as you look in the mirror, and recite those words. Yell them, find a little oomph as you say them out loud. This is where we create magick. Connect with the Element of Fire Fire is the element associated with the sacral chakra, so let's change things up with that creative flow of water in the 2nd chakra, the sacral chakra and spice things up a bit. Interestingly enough, as a Leo, I still struggle with this chakra as mentioned earlier. What drives you? What attributes are you confident about? What makes you so deliciously unique? It doesn't have to be big and sexy, although I'd say go for it, and if you can't think of anything you're passionate about, then it's time to get a hobby. How to Unblock the Solar Plexus Chakra: Quick Reference Guide Bija (Seed Manta): Ram (Rahm) Color: Yellow Crystals: Amber, Yellow Apatite, Topaz Meditation: Take a few deep breaths, envision a yellow glow right below your ribcage. Imagine that glow growing and expanding, slowly filling up your entire body, slowly, intentionally and as it fills your body slowly start to fill its warmth engulf you. Begin to envision a moment in time where you did something you were proud of. Take time with this and visualize this moment. What were you wearing? What was there? How did you feel? Sit with these energies for a few minutes and when you're ready, slowly awaken your body. Sit Sound healing: There are so many free videos on Youtube with sound healing for the Solar Plexus Chakra, connect with it and enjoy it. When listening to these frequencies, visualize the color yellow, in the area right below your ribcage, and try to release any tension in that area, allowing the energy to move downward and flushing it back to the earth. Shadow Work Journal Prompts: --What is something I'm holding myself back from? --What is a deep insecurity of mine? Is it because I'm afraid of success? How would my life change if I let go of this insecurity? --What quality about myself do I struggle to accept? Why? Include both favorable and infavorable qualities (Sometimes we need to stand confident in areas we struggle in. It's okay to be imperfect!) Enjoy a free and cute Solar Plexus Chakra PDF printout for your book of shadows or journal! Just click here! Summary: Understanding who you really are is to accept both the good and the bad traits about us, and embracing both! It's so easy for us to dismiss and put ourselves down yet somehow we choose to ignore our good qualities. Wholly embrace both! It allows you to embrace your authentic self. Sure, we should always strive to be better humans and work on our traits, but sometimes we just gotta laugh at ourselves and roll with it. How do you feel most connected to your solar plexus chakra my dear yoga witches? I have really focused on the affirmation "Who cares what other people think?" and releasing the physical syptoms of fear that resides inside of me when I am afraid of being judged. It's working! Let us know in the comments and subscribe to my YouTube channel for additional information on what it's like working with the chakra system as a yoga witch and how we live a more energetically balanced life. Sending so much love, magick and happiness your way!

  • My Experience at Mystic South 2023 As a Yoga Witch

My Experience at Mystic South 2023 As a Yoga Witch Hello to all my fellow Spiritual Yoga Witches and witchy practicioners! First off, let's start with the fact I will need the next week off of all responsibilities to recover from the wild shenanigans the coven and I got into this last weekend at Mystic South, Georgia! I am so blessed to be able to go there to not only to make a formal introduction as The Season of Anya: Spiritual Yoga Witch as a channel, blogger, and as a brand, but to connect with and learn from the amazing pagan, spritual and witchy community. Let me first give out a big thank you to those who I connected with. I cannot tell you how nervous I was coming out there and introducing myself to the community. Networking to promote myself is truly one of the hardest things for me. I know I am a very small channel just starting out, but you all were so gracious with me and full of so much positive encouragement. Thank you for believing in my message and encouraging me to spread my message, and dealing with Anya being a ball of nerves the whole time. Seriously, I haven't been that nervous in a very very long time. Being open about who I am, as a Yoga Witch and my authentic self was truly one of the scariest but fulfilling experiences I've had in a long time. Behind the Scenes Youtube: With that said, let's talk about what it was like going to Mystic South 2023 as well as my first experience going to a Witchy Conference all the way in the beautiful Atlanta, Georgia. PS--I'm going to have a fun video on my YouTube Channel so be sure you're subscribed when it's out! Spoiler alert: There will be a video of me drunkingly fumbling the YMCA dance somewhere in there...ha. Hospitality Suites: At conferences, established covens can sign up to offer a Hospitality Suite. It's where we get the chance to show other magickal folks what our tradition looks like on a more personal level, sit and chit chat, host a chill out and regrouping tea time and also host a killer party. It was super fun getting to hang out with my friends at the House of Witchcraft, serving drinks, and even getting to taste some delicious home-made chai mead from those attending our suite. Belly Dancing: Gwenna Obscura, thank you for the first official workshop I took at Mystic South, Incorporating Belly Dance into You Spiritual Practice, it was a fun way to get out of my head, try something new and you had a great playlist (thanks for sharing!) Yoga Magick: Shout out to Daniela Semina who taught Yoga Tech for modern pagans. We did chair yoga, which was actually a really enjoyable experience that can be enjoyed by anyone of any bodily shape, physical ailments, and busy work schedules. Thank you for sharing your knowledge as well as that yummy meditation at the end. Desperate House Witches: Thank you so so much to Raina Starr for being one of the first witches from this community to welcome me to the community, letting me practice my book pitch with you, and scheduling me to be on your podcast, the Desperate House Witches (please link). You were such a warm welcome and bring a light to this community. It was so great sharing that one on one experience with you and really being able to connect and share our journeys together. Please check out her podcast Desperate House Witches! Drumming Rituals: Thank you Eric Olson for hosting your drumming workshops, What is a Drum Circle Anyways?, and creating a really cool and collaborative drumming workshop for all of us. It was a great experience getting to not only be apart of another drum circle, bt being able to drum among witches and other like-minded spiritual folx. Brujeria Style Psychic Self Defense: I got the pleasure of attending Wendy Mata Houseman's workshop, Brujeria Style Psychic Self Defense and learning some amazing techniques for shielding myself and being more aware of picking up on psychic energy and different shielding techniques. Very cool information and I took a lot out of this class. Congratulations for hosting your first in-person workshop, I never would have guessed it. Dancing with Witches at a Ball: Dancing with witches under a full moon is something I have become quite used to, but being able to dance with a room full of other witches at a Phoenix Ball was super fun. Make sure you are subscribed to my YouTube Channel to see some of the great videos the DJ took of us as well as my Mystic South compilation videos.... including me somehow messing up the YMCA. I told you I was a ball of nerves. Mama Taren: Congratulations on hosting your first workshop (at this event) Introduction to Graveyard Magick and not only completely filling up a classroom but so much that there was standing room only. You deserve it. Going to a Witchcraft Convention with a Coven I have been blessed to be a part of the House of Witchcraft for the past five years and have gotten to travel with these beautiful souls at our "Witchy Retreats" for the past three years and enjoying some magickal life experiences. Getting to go to a Witchcraft Conference as a coven was super cool. Being able to run around a hotel lobby among all different sorts of people, including a lot of random strangers. (who were actually very nice and didn't seem to be weirded out by a hotel full of witchy people) was AMAZING. I really enjoyed being able to not only further my spiritual practice and techniques, but also reaffirmed my own spiritual practice. Oftentimes we wonder if "we are doing it right?" while the answer is generally yes, we truly learn from each other through discussion. I was so pleased to how many people were interested in the concept of being a Yoga Witch as I'm learning to be more authentic to who I am and spread a message of healing through my spiritual practice of Yoga and Witchcraft. See you at Mystic South 2024! West coast Witches, where are the gatherings at? I'd love to go to another witchy pagan conference here in California. Lets connect! PS--Subscribe on YouTube for even more content and a compilation video of some of my experiences at Mystic South.

  • Connecting With March 7th Full Moon: The Worm Moon

Connecting With March 7th Full Moon: The Worm Moon Since I've been really enjoying connecting with the moon cycles lately, I figured I'd start sharing what each month's moon cycle has to offer as a deeper way of connecting to spirit, and your magickal practice. I enjoy knowing what each month's moon represent because again, as a nature-based religion, we can understand so much about our rhythmic cycles when we simply learn from nature. With that said here's a quick definition on the worm moon. According to the Old Farmer's Almanac, there are a couple of theories behind why March's moon is referred to as the "worm moon." One theory says that March is the time of year when the worms come out of the earth, forced out by heavy rainfall and the thawing of soil. This particular moon is in the month of the spring equinox, which is an abundant, lively season for birth, and life, and everything anew. Worm Moon: The End of a Cycle If we were to link this moon to the tarot, this card would be the Fool. This marks the era of the birth and rebirth cycle. The Fool represents all new beginnings, endless possibilities of the future, embracing th fact that you're inexperienced. It's not knowing what to expect, allowing yourself the possibility of having beginner's luck through flowing through improvisation and believing in the universe. It's a great time for faith, it's exciting and fresh! It's a time to dive deep into whatever it is you want this year to be and creating that roadmap to nourish it and grow it. But first, we must nurture the soil before we plant the seeds, the days are starting to get longer, so use this moon as a time to really reflect on the weeds in your life that you want to get rid of, in order to prep for growth. March Full Worm Moon Spell: I'd like to present a working for you for this March 7th Full Moon. After going back and reading my journal entries from the last 6 months or so, I found that there were a lot of themes that I still needed to work on: Releasing control, surrendering, flowing, not holding on too tight, limiting self believes, and giving more love and energy than I receive (boundaries). So I created a working, a spell, to help me release these habits in order to receive. I am setting my intentions. I really hope you enjoy this! It comes from my heart. If you use it, please let me know. I will be sitting at my altar and lighting a candle with it and sitting in it. Feel free to do the same, or light some herbs in your cauldron, draw down the moon, anything you desire. Really give it time to connect with it. Im personally going to use this time to finally commit to this blog in the way I have been wanting to for the past three years. I can already feel the excitement and awe of what I'm going to bring to you all in this blog. It's been a passion project years in the making that just ended a little more time to stew. Yay, I'm so excited!!! What are you all going to be working on for this Full Moon? Do you have any creative endeavors or goals you wish you share? Let me know in the comments! Thanks for joining me on The Season of Anya. Cheers witches!

  • Working with Goddesses as a Witch

Working with Goddesses as a Witch Developing and working with goddesses as a witch is a very personal practice. Just like with any religion, there really is no wrong way to work with a goddess, or other deities so long as you do it with honor reverence and respect. In this post im going to discuss how you can work with a deity, how I work with a deity, and as a bonus, the 5 goddess that my coven, The Witches Cottage, in Valley Center, San Diego, California. First of all, do your research when working with any deity, whether it's working with a pagan Goddess, or other type of deity. Many of them within the pagan tradition have their shadow selves, as this religion and practice is very much in tuned with the balance of light and dark. Generally, these deities aren't bad, but it's important to fully understand what you're working with, as these deities aren't necessarily all love and light. Once you've done your research, you may find a deity you connect to. Great, now what? You may want to start with putting an offering at your altar. Many goddesses have specific items that they may be associated with their request. You should probably have an idea with what a goddess is associated with based on your research. Even putting a glass of wine on your altar for a moon cycle to honor your deity will do. If a goddess such as is associated with the divine feminine, for example, you may want to put some rose quartz or moonstone on your altar to honor them. If you're working with the goddess Aradia, you may want to put some tarot cards, or amethyst or anything purple on your altar resembling divination, or since she's associated with divination. If you're working with Hecate, you may want to put some keys on your altar, or a photo of dogs on your altar as she's associated with them. You can also grab a small statue and dedicate it to your goddess. There are also some beautiful photos of goddesses that you can find on google: Print them out and put them in a frame. Okay, that's great and all, but now what? Well this is definitely the part where it gets personal. How do you want your practice to look like? For me, I like to observe my patron deities Feast Day, which is a day to honor your deity, generally feasting among other witches and sharing their story. Some witches like to initiate as a witch of whichever goddess of their choosing, which generally means that they strive to live in the ideals and principals of their story, their lore. They step into their path, and build a very special bond with this deity. A great way to initiate is by doing so on their feast night, lighting some incense, grounding yourself, and inviting their energy in. There is so much to this that I could go on but I will share in a later post. Keep in mind this is not goddess worship, but a relationship you cultivate with divinity. Finally, my way connecting with a deity is by honoring their story and essentially giving them a "nod" to their magick and what they're about. I will honor their feast day, and revisit their lore, as their lore generally shares a story of wisdom to be gained and applied to my personal life. Also, if I'm so privileged to get near a bonfire with my coven, I'll share their lore with other witches on their feast day.. My practice is my practice, and I consider my practice working with deities as a nod to their story, and I move on with them. I generally don't "call onto" my goddesses when practicing magick, but that's just me. You do you! Do you have a goddess and deity that you like to work with? How do you like to connect with your deities? Let me know!

  • April 2023 Pink Full Moon Water Blessing

Hi Witches, hope this springtime season is treating you well! It's such a great time to celebrate the soul, to celebrate you! When I was working with March's Worm Moon energy, I had this awesome moment of pure cosmic witchy bliss that was shortly destroyed by the overwhelming feeling of "I don't actually think I deserve this" Damn it, it was true. So, March was a little dark to say the least, haha. Which meant a great opportunity for shadow work at least! Remember, in order for a seed to sprout in the soil it must first be contained by the dark. We water that soil, in the dark, in good faith that it will begin to sprout in due time. Believe that it will, keep nurturing those seeds of hope, but remember, those seeds live, grow and die by you. Believe in yourself and nurture your spirit. Namaste. April Full Moon Water Blessing Anya 2023 April Pink Moon Water Blessing Place distilled water, or any water of sorts into your favorite jar, container, or wine bottle. Connect with it and allow the energies of spirit to encompass it. Use this moon water in a ritual shower, water your plants, or steep it in tea. There are endless possibilities but use this moon water before the upcoming dark moon (within roughly 2 weeks) I receive endless possibilities, embodying the divine blessings of the mother, of the full moon to guide me. I release any doubt, shame, or poor self reflection of my spirit, because I deserve the blessings, and I deserve them from the bottom of my heart. I love myself and I release myself of fear from the unknown. I choose to heal myself and enjoy the journey from within, as it all begins with the longing of a simple intent. I cleanse my heart, I cleanse my spirit, and I allow myself to receive unconditional love. I cannot love another until I have unequivocal love for myself, and tonight I choose me. I allow my soul to embark on the journey, and I charge this water with the nurturing light of the radiant moon. Ase, Namaste, Blessed Be.

  • How to Witchcraft: Sigil Magick

How to Witchcraft: Sigil Magick Today's Topic on "How to Witchcraft" is Sigil Magick. When I first got into the craft, I didn't quite understand the use of sigils and their magick and it did NOT resonate with me at all, but once I started playing around with sigils and finding a practical way to apply them to my practice, I found out that they're actually quite AWESOME for intention setting, channeling energy and staying connected to your magick and your intentions. Why would I want to use a sigil? Think of a sign as a reminder to use as a reminder for an intention you've set. Got money on the mind? There's a sigil for that. Are you feeling really anxious as of late and need a reminder to chill out, or are in need of protection from bad energy? Consider using a sigil. If you are trying to change your headspace and get into a deep meditative state you can absolutely use a sigil for that. I personally have a few sigils in my Book of Shadows that I regularly use, and I primarily use one I created for empowering myself and reminding me to stay confident, empowered and magickal. The options for adding a sigil to your practice are limitless, these are just a few ideas to get the ball rolling. How to use a sigil and for What Purpose We will use the previous options as an example in order to better understand the vast options for sigil magick. These are just examples of endless ways to incorporate sigils into your daily practice. Money Sigil: If you are using a sigil to manifest and stay in the prosperity mindset, adding a picture of a sigil to your wallet is a great idea! Then, every day, or every time you use your wallet, you can trace the sigil with your fingers on the wallet to continue to channel prosperity and stay connected to that magick. This isn't a one and done now you're a millionaire type of thing though, for starters, you have to stay consistent with your practice to keep your mind and spirit focused on your goal, so if money is really of a concern, this may be something you are doing for quite some time. As a money sigil serves are a reminder for what you are trying to achieve, which is prosperity, and it helps attract money, but also your mindset has to be of someone who is actively trying to earn money, and actively seeking out new opportunities for prosperity. Sure, finding $50 on the ground is a nice touch, but that's not the true essence of how this works. Anxiety Sigil: If you're prone to anxiety, using a sigil when you're feeling stressed out is a great way to remind yourself that anxiety is "just thoughts" and to try to shift your mental focus to something more neutral, and to perhaps take a few deep breaths in (this is just what I do, this is not medical advice by any means!). To actively use this sigil, you can visualize the symbol in your minds eye, and actively breathe in and breathe out while maintaining focus on it. If that doesn't work, while still taking deep breaths in and out, you can trace the sigil on the palm of each hand to channel that energy. Energetic Protection: Is someone giving you a hard time and you want them to stop talking about you? Use a sigil paired with a working/mantra with their name. Think of this as an energetic cord cutting to stop gossip: The goal is that with that energetic connection severed through the sigil, you'll be on their mind less, and they'll move on with their live. Home Blessing: Did you move into a new space, or do you just want to bless your home with good intentions? With some salt, egg shells, or chalk, create the sigil on your pathway, front door (if using chalk), or if you'd like to be discreet, under your door mat like I do. Magickal Uses: Needing to feel magickal, or want to use any of the above sigils when you're meditating or while using your altar or in your sacred space? I love carving my sigil into a small candle and then lighting it. If you are a candle witch, you can also take a sharpie and use that sigil on a 3-day candle to create intention. If it is safe to do so, you can write down your sigil and burn it over an open flame or in a bonfire as well. If you are crafty, you can roll out a piece of clay and carve your sigil into that and let it dry it so you can have a token for your altar. Personal Power: Finally, as someone who is reminding myself that I'm in my "comeback era", I love using my personal sigil as a daily affirmation when I'm involved in acts of self care. For example, on daily walks, especially if I'm feeling really intone with spirit, I may pause under a tree and write our my sigil in the dirt with my fingers or with a stick with love energy. You can also paint your sigil on with lotion after your shower, or when your mirror is foggy. Even right now I imbued my computer screen with my sigil, with a smile to remind myself of how far I've come. I have really grown to love sigils because it's quick, efficient, and easy, every day folk magick that can done applied anywhere, for any situation. While you can really do some powerful work with them you don't have to spend that much time. I am a modern, millennial witch and I have work to do and don't always have time to sit in magickal headspace for hours at a time. Just a moment or so to connect with that happy energy can change the trajectory of your day quite a bit. While you can absolutely use any sigils you find online, in my next post I will give you some ideas on how to create one of your own, and how to have fun with it. Do you use sigils in your magickal practice? What sigils do you like to use and for what reason? Comment below! Until next time. xox

  • How to Celebrate Beltane as a Witch

How to Celebrate Beltane as a Witch Beltane is a wonderful Sabbat (witchy holiday) also known as May Day, is celebrated on the first day of May in the Celtic tradition. May Day is celebrated all over the world and is known for its display of beautiful flowers. It is a fun spring-time holiday and a time of joy and celebration as the sun reaches its zenith (its peak) and nature bursts with new growth and fertility. Beltane is right in the middle of spring and summer, so it's a great time to build and grow, especially with your personal practice. This festival is all about life, love, and the union of the Divine Masculine and Divine Feminine. If you’re looking to celebrate Beltane, or even just honor the day here’s a Witchy guide to get you started. Personally, I like to refer to this holiday as May Day, because to me, it feels more modern and right to me. In this article, I will be referring to this holiday as Beltane as it's more historically accurate, both are right!! 5 Ways to Celebrate Beltane as a Witch 1. Perform a Beltane Ritual Beltane or any sabbat or equinox is a powerful time for magick....thus making it a perfect time for a ritual or at-home working. You can create your own ritual or use one Beltane rituals often involve fire, so lighting candles or a bonfire is a great way to mark the occasion. If you have access to a bonfire, this is a great time to gather with friends and tell stories and dance to your favorite music (the cupid shuffle has become a favorite in our Coven if you need a great Spotify playlist just ask in the comments). 2. Decorate Your Altar Setting up a Beltane altar is a great way to get into the spirit of this festive season. Decorate your altar with fresh flowers, herbs and greenery to represent the fertility and growth of spring. Add a a red, orange or yellow candle candle to represent the sun, or perhaps a pretty lilac or blue candle to represent the springtime flowers, or throw some dried roses on your altar, and some lavender smudge sticks, or just a chalice full of wine, or a dish filled with some honey as an offering. You can also incorporate something to honor the Divine Masculine and Divine feminine, such as symbols or an athame for example. Do what feels right to you! I will probably just put a yin yang symbol to represent divinity, or maybe just look up some cool photos of divine union on Google. 3. Make a Maypole One of the most popular activities at Beltane is dancing the Maypole. The Maypole symbolizes (you guessed it) the union of the God and Goddess, and is traditionally decorated with flowers, ribbons and bells. You can purchase a small Maypole, or make your own using a tall stick and some decorative materials, or you can get really crafty and make a giant one. Get your friends and family involved, and dance around the Maypole to celebrate the joy and abundance of life, have fun with it!!! The kiddos love it and any excuse to dance and be silly is fun. Witchy Beltane Story Time: Last year, the Witches Cottage Coven created a fundraiser to support the Myramid Cultural center in Oceanside, CA. We created this super awesome Maypole and danced around to the beat of the drums at sunset. It was a wonderful event an everyone had a great time. 4. Create a Beltane Feast Beltane is a time of abundance and fertility, so why not celebrate with a feast? Yes, not just a dinner, but a FEAST. It's a time to indulge and celebrate so why not? You can prepare a meal using seasonal ingredients like asparagus, strawberries and rhubarb to get your tastebuds in the moon. If you're feeling really legit, definitely incorporate traditional Beltane foods such as oatcakes, honey and wine. Share your feast with friends and family, and give thanks to Spirit for their blessings as any holiday is a time for sharing abundance, no matter where you are in life. 5. Connect with Nature Finally, Beltane is a time to celebrate the beauty and abundance of nature, so be a good Witch and just take in the beauty of the season. Spend some time outside, whether that means going for a hike or simply sitting in the park or on a nature preserve.
