How to Heal as a Lightworker with Spiritual Yoga & Witchcraft
Welcome back witches. As a spiritual lightworker, it is important to remember to take care of yourself so you can continue to help others. It's not selfish, Spiritual yoga and witchcraft are two powerful practices that can help you heal and recharge, which is exactly how I found myself on this path of the yoga witch. I know I throw a lot of information at you, but don't feel like you need to know all of it at once. A general understanding of some of these topics are enough.
While these practices may seem daunting at first, once you dive in, you’ll find that they offer the soul a deep healing and a sense of connection to Spirit. Spirit is, in my opinion, what keeps us balanced in this chaotic world. The Season of Anya has always been a healing journey, as I myself am always healing, and a constant work in progress. Take these lessons in a little at a time: I've been on this journey for fives years. There is no rush, we have the rest of our lives ahead of us to continue to grow a flourish together.
As light workers, we can empower others by introducing them to new ways of thinking and believing. We're able to do this because of all the self study and inner work that we have done through our dedicated practice. Through these practices, light worker witches can help people understand the inner workings of the world around them and how to tap into their own creative potential that we all possess. Today we’ll explore how you can use spiritual yoga and witchcraft to heal and restore your energy.
Spiritual Yoga
As we know, yoga is an ancient practice that unites the mind, body, and spirit. When practiced with a spiritual intention, yoga can help us connect with our higher selves. We've previously discussed, What is a Spiritual Yoga Practice so lets dive a little deeper and get a bit more specific on how we can further incorporate these practices into our lives. Here are some spiritual yoga practices you can incorporate into your routine:
Morning Sun Salutations:
Start your day with 5-10 rounds of sun salutations. As you flow through each pose, set an intention for the day. Some simple stretches in the morning or throughout the day can help us easily get rid of stagnant energy.
Chakra-Focused Practice:
Focus on a different chakra each day and practice poses that support that chakra. I personally like to start from the 1st chakra, the root, and take my time and sometimes spend weeks focusing on a specific chakra as I move my way up the ladder. More info can be found here.
Restorative Yoga:
This practice is perfect for when you need to slow down and recharge. Use props like bolsters and blankets to support your practice. Even just laying in bed before you go to bed with a couple strategically placed pillows can ease so much tension and stress.
Witchcraft & Spiritual Yoga
Witchcraft enables us to look inward, stay grounded, heal ourselves, heal others, and redirect our focus so we can manifest and connect with those around us and those who are on the other side. Here are some witchy self-care practices you can incorporate into your routine:
Tarot Readings:
Pull a daily tarot card for guidance and reflection. It's simple, to the point, and only takes but a moment. Oracle cards are even simpler and easier to meditate on.
Crystal Healing:
Use crystals to support your energy and intention. Carry a crystal in your pocket, place them on your chakras during your yoga practice, or simply display them in your home. Lately I've been enjoying rose quartz.
Ritual Baths:
Create a sacred bath ritual by adding herbs, salts, and essential oils that support your intention. There are so many great herbal bath "teas" that you can craft. As you cleanse yourself, make each action intentional and be soft with yourself, as if you were washing a baby--gentle and nurturing. Set an intention if you'd like.
Merging Yoga and Witchcraft
When you combine yoga and witchcraft, you are able to create a beautiful practice that unites mind, body, and spirit. Here are some ways you can merge the two practices:
Incorporate Intentional Movement:
Add movements to your yoga practice that represent your intention or spell work. For example, if you are working on manifestation, incorporate a lotus pose into your practice.
Use Your Breathing:
Use your breath to connect to the divine and strengthen your intention. Inhale positive energy and exhale any negative energy, it's about that mindfulness.
Practice in Nature:
Connect to the earth and the elements by practicing yoga and witchcraft outside. Find a peaceful spot to connect to the energy of the earth. Even if it's just messing around with some tarot cards, or lighting a custom incense blend and doing some yoga during sunset. Sounds amazing, doesn't it?
Self-Care Tips for Light Workers
As a light worker, it’s very important to remember to take care of yourself. Here are some self-care tips to help you recharge:
Practice Gratitude:
Start and end your day with gratitude. Reflect on what you are thankful for and what you accomplished that day.
Take Breaks:
It’s important to take breaks throughout your day. Create a self-care routine that works for you. Even five minutes of meditation or stretching can make a difference.
Connect with Your Community:
Connect with other light workers and witches by attending a workshop, coven, or online community. Don't know where to look? Check out meetup.com or EventBrite! You’ll be able to learn from others, share your experiences, get support and engage in some amazing conversations with other like-minded individuals.
By practicing spiritual yoga and witchcraft, you can recharge your energy and connect to the divine. Integrating these practices into your routine can help you heal and awaken your inner badass witch.
I really want to stress that as a spiritual light worker, it’s important to remember that you can’t pour from an empty cup. When we aren't putting ourselves first and aren't fully fulfilled, we are inauthentic to our practice and we slowly build resentment towards others because we are too depleted to help. be mindful of how much you give to others, as it's important to give even more to yourselves.
